About Me

About Emily Justice

My decision to become a tutor for National 5 and Higher qualifications was influenced by my own child’s experience of secondary school and my awareness of the challenges facing so many young people today (not least when neurodivergence and mental health issues are in the mix).

When my daughter was unable to sustain a full-time timetable at school, we turned to tutors in the hope they could help her stay on track with her learning. The one-to-one support made all the difference, allowing her to achieve qualifications and obtain a place at college.

As a History and English Tutor, I can draw on my personal and professional experience, as well as my qualifications, to help other young people succeed.

“I have worked with Emily for over 10 years. We have specialised in young people’s education and mental wellbeing. I have always found Emily professional and she goes the extra mile when children need her support. Emily is a very caring and thoughtful person and a great communicator. Emily has also helped me on a personal level when my child needed extra support with English. Emily helped with her schoolwork but also boosted her confidence and self-esteem. With Emily’s help she blossomed into a more confident young person.”

“I have had the pleasure of knowing Emily for several years in a professional capacity, and I can wholeheartedly recommend her as a tutor. She is extremely understanding of the challenges that pupils may face when learning in school and is dedicated to improving their understanding of her subjects. This doesn't stop with the theory, but extends to their ability to confidently answer questions in SQA assessments. Her aim is to improve their self-belief, determination, and overall enjoyment of the subject. Emily is passionate about what she does. She has both personal and professional experience of working with teenagers and this shines through her work. She is knowledgeable about neurodivergence and embraces difference.”
